How God Used My Blog to Make a Vision Clear – I’m Taking Action!

Hello friends,

First of all, thank you for allowing me to serve you for the past couple years on this platform – although I would rather much have a face to face conversation with you (with a grande soy misto).

My journey on this blog has been wonderful. I have learned about strengths and opportunities, which can be very telling of someone’s character. I’ve been proud of some choices and not so proud of others I’ve made. Regardless, God is good!

BUT blogging has also been difficult. It gets very lonely on this side of the screen when you don’t hear from those that are part of your community – but I totally understand, so please know this is not meant directly at you. Actually, this is a reminder for me, from God, that I must rely on HIM at all times, even when I don’t feel heard. Have you ever felt unheard? As if what you have to say doesn’t matter to anyone, not even those closest to you? I understand you.

But most importantly, God understands you. Your Heavenly Father hears you – loud and clear! He loves you beyond measure. Don’t you ever forget that! Because when times get tough, you can bet on this fact – He is there always.

In the midst of this lonely journey, God has made things crystal clear. God is just awesome like that right? Let me back up a bit…

Months ago, I realized that when I minister to women, something happens in  the deepest part of my soul… it comes alive! When I see women’s lives transformed and the wonderful plans God has for their lives, it literally fills me up. It’s quite lovely.

Now, don’t get me wrong… I love families and I believe in healthy families, but you see, women are a crucial part in holding families together. We are loosing our femininity – we are struggling to find balance as daughters, wives, moms, professionals and ministers. We are torn. And as a result, our families are suffering.

This is where God is calling me to step in. I’m not going to lie – I’m a bit afraid. I now, move into that place of love (for those that understand this give me some grace).

I’m moving in!

What does this mean for some of you? Well, sorry to be the bearer of  bad news, but starting immediately, this will be an ALL women’s website. Sorry men! Remember, you can always stop by and say hello ok – don’t be strangers!

For those of you that are married or have girlfriends, please share my link with the women in your lives. I promise you, they will be blessed – and transformed, which will benefit you (LOL) and your family.

Ladies, I’m cheering for you. I’m here for you. I am honored to serve you and will continue to provide you with valuable information. Sharing my website or other social media is helpful in spreading the word about the website.

I am taking the month of July off  from blogging to get my head back in the game. In the meantime, won’t you give me some love by leave a comment or a goodbye note? I would like that very much. If you don’t, that’s okay too. Goodbyes can be hard. Men, after you leave me a comment, you can unsubscribe from this list… Or just send me an email letting me know and I can unsubscribe you.

The future is going to be great – for all of us – because God is with us!

  1. I strongly believe in the anointing that God has over you with this work,
I also see the trasformation God is doing in your life….

    Blessing sisiter Edith:)

  2. I’m so excited about this. Titus 2:3-5
“Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God”. (Titus 2:3-5 NLT)
We ALL need encouragement, to learn and be supported!! Sometimes I feel as though this is a lost art (command) but it is so very critical to our homes and families AND teaching and encouraging other and younger women. Thank you Edit for be obedient even in your aloneness to bring what God wants to us!!! Looking forward to the journey with you!!!

    • Oh Frances,
What a great Scripture reference! My focus is to equip and empower women of faith to step into their “royal place” given by our Heavenly Father in order to influence the world for His purposes – “for such a time as this.” Esther 4:14
Time away from social media has given me greater insight into this and I can’t wait to share it next month!
Thanks for walking with me on this journey friend.

  3. Hi Edith, love your blog! Question do you have one-on-one marital/family counseling? If so, can you please contact me? would like to set an appointment Thank you

    • Hi Maria,
Yes, I do provide individual and family counseling. I’m on vacation now. Go ahead and send me an email and when I get back I will call you. Take care.

  4. Edith,
Have you ever came across something that you needed right then? This article, site and blog is what I needed at this moment in my life. I have been praying for God to open some doors for me and I am still not clear what HE has planned for my life but thank you for reminding me that I need to ” walk alone to hear HIS voice, then our/my path will be clear” thank you for this reminder! I am so looking forward to reading your blog!

Blessings and enjoy your time off!~

    • Rita,
Thank you for taking the time to share what God is doing in your life. I absolutely love to hear other’s stories – because we are all connected. You know, this is all too common the not being clear about where He wants to take us. Everyday, He will reveal His perfect and dinvine plan for you. I can’t wait to hear from you as your path unfolds and God begins to show you more. I’m so excited!!

      Hugs and many blessings!

  5. I was drawn to your website because my husband is a pastor with the Assemblies of God and your cards and brochures were sent to him. I was curious and slightly excited by what I saw because I graduated UCLA with a psych degree but have been sitting on it for the past 10+ years due to…life. Now, in my mid thirties and two kids later, I have been in a place of deciding whether or not to go back to school to get my masters or go to seminary because I have a heart for counseling and ministry. I just have a hard time figuring out how exactly God wants to use me and my “buried” talents. I am trying to unearth them and use them for His glory but I am in search of encouragement and guidance.
I guess I am saying all this because when I went on your website and read some of your blogs and your story, I felt a connection. Your openness and willingness to share your journey, your wisdom and your vision inspires me to keep going through these growing pains to be the woman that I see in my dreams. I do not always read every blog, but I keep your emails so that I might go back and just edify my soul and spirit with some good wisdom.
I look forward to following and learning from you as I continue to grow into my own woman.
Thanks for being vulnerable and sharing your heart.

    • Bunmi,
I can relate so much to your right now. Life is hard with kiddos and sometimes we put our dreams and goals on hold. Thank you so much for sharing your heart with me. One thing I do know, that God wants to use you in a mighty way – and it’s in His time. There are seasons in our life where we must just simply be in order to fully grasp His greater plan. Enjoy this time with your children. Once you feel ready, you will be so much more motivated to finish that degree. You are only in your 30s! You are still young! In many ways, I assume you already use your psych experience to minister to your church. I would love to chat with you over coffee :) Please stay in touch. I’m taking a break from the blog, but when I return, I pray the Lord uses this space to heal both of our hearts.

  6. Cousin, I’m so excited to see where God is leading you. I’m so looking forward to this blog for women!!! Love you and so proud of you!!! You’re such a blessing!!! How can I share your link on Facebook?

    • Primita chula – thank you for stopping by here on my blog. It’s so encouraging to have comments here cause it gets lonely. I’m also looking forward to what God has for us. I’m so excited that I want to jump right in, but I know I must take some time to hear God’s direction. To share my blog post – click on the social media icon (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and it should take you to your profile and it should work that way. OR, you can copy and paste the url (link that says, http://www.compassionatehealer...) to your FB. I hope this clarifies. It’s also easy to just click share when you are on my FB page – there you can share any post.

  7. This is only the beginning my friend! I know God has bigger and better plans for your future. I am here standing next to you. To support and do whatever it takes to get you there :) Thank you for all that you do and for being so compassionate to others. Love ya!

  8. Well, I think you are awesome!!! This summer I graduated with my Master’s degree in therapy so I have been enjoying your articles. Christianity and therapy are my cup of tea. Keep letting God use you and may His blessings follow you richly.

    • Kimmill, congratulations on your Masters! Yay for you! Thank you so much for your comment. I will keep obeying the Lord. Everyday he shines His light on my path – I’m just here for the ride. Take care!
